In 1727 young Earl Ludwig Zinzendorf from Herrnhut/Germany started a prayer movement in his Village. The prayer didn’t stop for 100 years, and the believers from Herrnhut were sending out more than 2000 Missionaries to other parts of the World to win people for Christ. That was the start of modern Missions.
All throughout history we can see that revival took place when Gods people got serious about Prayer. For example the ‘Fulton Street Revival’ in New York in the Year 1857 started through the Prayer of one individual man by the name of Jeremiah Lanphier. He was joined by other men and later more than 50.000 people were gathering in the streets at noontime for Prayer.
The modern revival in South Korea came through Prayer. Today this small country has more than 13 Million Christians. Most Missionaries today are being send out from Korea. Every morning before they go to work hundreds of Korean believers meet in their Churches for an early Prayer meeting at 5 or 6 am. They also have Prayer rooms where people are praying day and night.
